Don't be a Nobody online! Be a Thought Leader!

Are you a nobody in the B2B industry? Are you tired of being overlooked and overshadowed by big executives? Fear not! You can establish yourself as a thought leader on social media, and it's easier than you think! In this blog, we'll give you the dos and don'ts of establishing yourself as a thought leader on social media.

DO: Find your niche. Don't try to be an expert in everything. Instead, find your area of expertise, whether it's blockchain or AI, and focus on sharing your unique perspective on relevant topics.

DON'T: Pretend to be someone you're not. It's tempting to present yourself as a super genius with all the answers, but let's face it, you're not Tony Stark. Instead, be authentic and share your honest opinions and experiences.

Remember that friend who told you to invest all your money in DOGE Coin? I am a big fan of crypto however, most people did not know what they were talking about when they told you to invest!

DO: Share quality content. Whether it's blog posts, infographics, or videos, make sure the content you share is informative, educational, and engaging.

DON'T: Only share your own content. It's important to share other people's content too, as long as it's relevant to your audience. This will help you build relationships with other thought leaders in your industry.

DO: Engage with your followers. Respond to comments, answer questions, and participate in discussions related to your area of expertise.

DON'T: Ignore your followers. Social media is all about building relationships, so make sure you interact with your followers on a regular basis.

I once knew a guy who never responded to comments or questions on social media. It was like he was talking to a wall. Needless to say, he didn't have many followers.

DO: Collaborate with others. Engage with other thought leaders in your industry and work together on content or projects.

DON'T: Compete with others. It's important to work together and learn from each other, rather than trying to outdo each other.

In conclusion, establishing yourself as a thought leader on social media is about finding your niche, sharing quality content, engaging with your followers, collaborating with others, and being authentic. Follow these dos and don'ts, and you'll be well on your way to becoming a B2B tech thought leader. And remember, don't be that guy who pretends to be an expert in something he knows nothing about!
